Palestinian prisoner and Palestinian national football team member Mahmoud Sarsak is now entering his 78th day of hunger strike making him the longest Palestinian hunger striker in history. Another Palestinian prisoner, Akram Rikhawi, is on his 59th day of hunger strike. The Palestinian prisoner support network Addameer reports that doctors from Israeli Physicians for Human Rights have been denied any visit to Sarsak or Rikhawi and that Israeli authorities have refused to admit them to a civilian hospital.
